Published in 1917, this book by Catherine Kolb-Danvin attempts to shed some light on the personality of Cecil John Rhodes. Very well written by a friend of Rhodes, the book shares some wonderful insights.

The book comprises  18 Chapters, including The Foundations of Fortune, Rhodes and the Raid, The influence of Sir Alfred Milner, The Concentration Camps, The Opening of the new Century and In Flight From the Rand. Though not rich in photographs, a number are included.
